TheGamePort is the premier trading destination for video games. We offer an alternative way to play all of the video games you want through an interactive trading platform whereby members can legally trade video games with each other across a large, decentralized network, where each household is a distribution centre.

I have an item on my wish list. How come it's not being sent to me?
|
|
Do you have sufficient GamePoints and Trading Tokens in your account? If yes, the other reason why an item might not be sent is that it's presently not available. This is the case if the game is in short supply or heavy demand. Please be patient, as every member will have their turn. We also recommend that you put several items onto your wish list. This considerably increases the probability of you receiving an item fast.

How do I trade games with other members?
|
|
It's easy. We manage trades by using GamePoints. You earn GamePoints by selling the games you HAVE, and you spend your GamePoints on the games you WANT. So the first thing you'll need to do is add the games you want to sell by searching for the game using the search box in MyGamePort in the top right corner of all pages providing you are logged in. You can also search for the game you have and click the "Add to Have list" link on the detail page. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your games to your Have list. Next, browse or search through the site to find games you want and add them to your Want list. To find a list of games that are immediately available to get click 'available' link on the left hand side of every console page.
Once you earn GamePoints by sending the games you have, you'll receive games from your Want list as other members decide to part with them.

How much do I have to pay per item received?
|

When a video game you pick or request is being sent, 1 Trading Token (50p) will be deducted from your account balance. In order to continue trading you must ensure your Trading Tokens balance remains postitive by buying more from your account page (minimum of 2 at a time at £1.00).

Are there any subscription fees, surcharges or hidden costs?
|

Definitely NOT. Transparency is very important to us. You only pay for the items you receive. Any additional costs are clearly marked and therefore transparent.

What is TheGamePort Mailer?
|
|
TheGamePort Mailer is the convenient method that members can use to mail their Games. TheGamePort mailer consists of three sheets of paper that you print from your printer when you agree to mail a game. It includes the recipient's address information and your return address if it gets lost in the post. Simply follow the assembly instructions here to fold and tape TheGamePort Mailer, insert the disc and it's ready to go.

Who pays for shipping and packaging of the game?
|
|
The sender pays postage, but earns GamePoints for mailing the game in return. They can then use those points to pick/request a video game, and when it's mailed they won't pay postage because now they're the recipient!
